Change in Range: Modeling the distribution of a montane shorebird

Global climate change has impacted the distribution of wildlife, causing species to shift their ranges latitudinally and altitudinally to stay within optimal ranges.
The diademed sandpiper-plover (Phegornis mitchellii) is a montane shorebird found in the Andes Mountains of South America. Here, I use presence-only prediction modeling (MaxEnt) to determine which environmental variables are driving sandpiper-plover distribution and how the species' distribution may change under different climate change scenarios.
